When my boyfriend and I moved into this apartment complex about a year and a half ago, we could tell that the office lady was definitely a mean person if she wanted to be, but as long as we were good, we knew she wouldn't mess with us. When it came time to decide if we were gonna stay or leave after being there a year with no problems, we decided to just sign a 6 month lease which would give us plenty of time to find a house. My brother has always been like my son and he had no where to live since my parents couldn't afford to keep him. I then took on the responsibility of taking him in even though we only had a one bedroom apt. He would stay occasionally since we were technically not going by the rules of the lease. Well we had some pretty crappy neighbors who decided to go tell her that we had him there and that he was a loser and smoked weed all the time even though they looked like crack heads. The deputy on site got involved and it was a huge deal. Those people even had more people living there that weren't on the lease but one of they guys was just a douche. They literally ended up moving out like a week after this and the guy who told on us would constantly harrass my brother and when this grown man tried spitting on my 17 year old brother from his balcony my brother finally had it and asked him what his problem was. After this he decided to go tell on him and say my brother was trying to fight him. So now we've put our 30 day notice in and we have until the 19th to be out. We finally found a nice home and the lady in the office decided to tell the lady we are trying to rent from that my brother always smells like weed and that he starts fights all the time. This lady obviously has no heart and could care less if good human beings are left on the street. Luckily I talked with the landlord of the house we want and she was so understanding and sweet. I'm not saying this is a bad complex to live in, but just be aware of the evil lady who works in the office who obviously doesn't care about potentially ruining other people's future.
